An undated photograph of the Sarah [Hartman] Kissinger family of Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The only persons identified from this poor copy are Elmer Kissinger, holding son, and wife Sally [Saltzer] Kissinger.
A better copy of this photograph, posted on 18 July 2012, can be found on Ancestry.com, with the following description:
About 1896, Gratz, Pennsylvania.
This is the Kissinger family in Gratz. In the center front is Sarah [Hartman] Kissinger, on the far left her mother in law, Rebecca [Dreher] Kissinger. I think the lady in the middle in the dark clothes is one of Jorias Kissinger’s sisters. In the back row is Elmer Kissinger holding his son John Kissinger, his wife Sallie [Saltzer] Kissinger, two sisters, a sister in law, Amelia Kissinger, wife of Edmund, and Edmund Kissinger. Notice Edmund is light haired. The Hartmans favor blonde hair. Sarah had dark hair because her mother was a Diebler and the were dark haired and dark eyed. So every generation a light haired kid turns up , with hazel or green eyes.
Because all the persons have not been identified, a number key is presented below. Please use the numbers when suggesting or correcting identifications.
