An undated picture post card view of the Ebenezer Evangelical Church which was located on the southeast corner of Main and Buttonwood Streets in Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The building was dedicated in November 1886 and served the community until December 1946. Then the members joined the Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church, presently Trinity United Methodist Church, in June 1947.
In 1948, the abandoned Ebenezer Church was purchased by Edward T. Romberger, for $5000. He removed the large memorial window and presented it to the Trinity E. U. B. Church and then sold the building to Immanuel Wesleyan Church of Gratz for $4000. It was then dismantled in sections and reconstructed on the north side of Route 25 about one mile west of Gratz, where it stands today.
The persons on the sleigh in the photo have not been identified.
