PROMINENT HALIFAX MAN DIED FRIDAY
Albert M. Smith, age 68 years, prominent business man of Halifax, died at his home there Friday evening, following an illness of several months.
Mr. Smith was the president of the Halifax National Bank, and was also a former president of the Borough Council and School Board. He was also a member of the Halifax Methodist Church and the Harrisburg Lodge of Elks.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Gertrude L. Smith, and three daughters: Mrs. F. A. Veulleumier, of Carlisle; Mrs. Russell Neff, of Halifax; and Miss Marie Smith, of Harrisburg. Other survivors are a brother Edgar K. Smith, of Halifax; a half-brother, William P. Loomis, of Harrisburg; and a grandson.
Private funeral services were held from the residence at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, and interment was made in the Halifax Cemetery.
