A photograph from about 1910 of the Pennsylvania Railroad station at McClellan, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. This flag stop was along the north-south line of the Northern Central Railroad north of Halifax, Dauphin County, and about two miles south of Millersburg, and was established about 1910 to accommodate passengers from a small community that developed around homes that were located near the McClellan Coal Storage Yards that were constructed in 1900 and operated until about 1931. The individuals in the photograph have not been identified.
Additional information about the coal operation, railroad station, and community of McClellan can be obtained from the Halifax Area Historical Society, P. O. Box 562, Halifax, Pennsylvania 17032, or by contacting them through their Facebook Page.
