WILLIAMSTOWN AIRMAN KILLED IN TEXAS
Pfc. Victor Degutis, 32, of Williamstown, was one of four men killed in the crash landing of a U. S. Army bombing plane at Fort Worth Texas, 23 October [1944].
Degutis was a son of the late William Degutis and Margaret Degutis and was a native of Williamstown. He entered the Army Air Forces in August, 1942.
Survivors are two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Julia Rodgers and Mrs. Anna Karpaitis, both of Collingdale,Pennsylvania; Albert Degutis of Williamstown; Algert Degutis, of Philadelphia; and Joseph Degutis, of Harrisburg.
