Fred Warren Stiely was born in Pillow, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, 1 June 1901, the son of Ellsworth M. Stiely and his wife Mary.
He played in three seasons of Major League Baseball, 1929-1931, as a pitcher with the St. Louis Browns of the American League. He also played in the Minor Leagues from 1926-1927, part of 1930 and 1931, and from 1932-1935.
Overall in both Major and Minor League baseball, he acquired a 90-81 record. However, in his brief time in the Major Leagues, his record was only 1-1.
Fred Stiely died on 6 January 1981 at Valley View, Schuylkill Co., Pennsylvania, USA.
