Gratz Man Dies on Hunting Trip
Clarence E. Miller, age 54 years of Gratz, died suddenly Saturday, at a hunting cottage near Galeton, in Potter County.
Mr. Miller was a son of Henry Miller and Jane [Kessler] Miller and was a native of Hegins.
He had been a resident of Gratz for many years where he formerly operated a bakery. He had been employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company at Steelton the past ten years.
Mr. Miller was a member of Simeon’s Reformed Church, Gratz, and a director of the Gratz National Bank.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eve [Blyler] Miller, and a daughter, Mrs. Walter Daniels, both of Gratz; and two grandchildren.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Umholtz of Carbondale, and Mrs. Irvin Ressler, Valley View, and a brother, Earl Miller, of Newark, Delaware.
Services were held from the H. E. Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. E. R. Marks, pastor of the Lykens Valley Evangelical and Reformed Charge officiated and interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.
