William O. Wiest, age 67 years, died at his home in Pillow Monday evening.
Mr. Wiest was a son of the late Monroe Wiest and Elizabeth [Lehr] Wiest and was a native of Northumberland County, and had been a lifelong resident of the Pillow community where he had engaged in the butchering business many years. He was a member of Zion’s Lutheran Church, Pillow, and had served as deacon of that congregation forty-seven years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Olive [Snyder] Wiest; one daughter, Mrs. D. Belton Hoke, of Pillow; three sons, Raymond W. Wiest and Milton M. Wiest, both of Pillow; Eugene A. Wiest, Elizabethville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Clara Carr and Mrs. Etta Harrier, both of Allentown; Mrs. Mabel Will, Arlington, Virginia; and Mrs. Howard Dennis, Westmont, New Jersey.
Services will be held from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg, at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Rev. Walter Wagner, pastor of the Dalmatia Lutheran Parish will officiate and interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Pillow.
