Robert B. Hoffman, age 56 years, died at his home in Millersburg Thursday morning. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Millersburg.
Mr. Hoffman was formerly a pitcher for the Millersburg baseball team. He later served as manager of the team, as well as the manager of the American Legion’s Junior baseball team of that place.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ella [Hawk] Hoffman; three sons, Cpl. William H. Hoffman, with the Army in Korea; Larry Hoffman and Robert E. Hoffman, both of Millersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Derald Matter, Elizabethville, and Mrs. Lee Hamaker, of Millersburg; and twelve grandchildren.
Other survivors are a brother, Lester Hoffman, Elizabethville R.D., and four sisters: Mrs. Charles Miller and Mrs. Grover Gansert, both of Millersburg; Mrs. Michael Pinto, Shamokin; and Mrs. Thomas Moore of Baltimore, Maryland.
Services were held from the Riegle Funeral Home, Millersburg, at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon. Rev. William H. Siegel, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church, officiated and interment was made in Long’s Cemetery, near Halifax.
