A brief description of the club and its officers appeared in the yearbook:
This year, through popular request, a Hunting and Fishing Club was organized in the Millersburg High School. Fifty-two members are enrolled in this club… and the advisors are Mr. Thomas Stoner and Mr. Richard Knapp.
The officers for the 1950-1951 term are: Ronald Haine, president; William Reed, vice president; Dave Brown, treasurer; Roger McCahill, reporter.
Club activities consist of field trips, instruction in the proper use of, and maintenance of hunting and fishing equipment. Discussions of wild game life, as well as clarification of various game laws are also presented at the meetings. A number of movies illustrating different types of game hunting are also shown during the year.
As projects, the Hunting and Fishing Club decided to plant nut trees, to feed game in the event of a severe winter, and also to build duck boxes for nesting.
