RITES HELD TUESDAY FOR PVT. JOHN F. LEBO [1947]
Funeral services for Pvt. John F. Lebo, Halifax, R.D. 1, whose body was returned to the United States from Europe, October 25 [1947], were held from the Sterner Funeral Home, Millersburg, at 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon.
Military rites were conducted by the Lloyd-WIlliam Post 648, American Legion, Halifax and interment was made in the Ebenezer Cemetery, by Rev. H. E. Fogelman, pastor of the Enders Evangelical Brethren Church officiated.
Private Lebo was the son of Mrs. Flora Lebo and the late Clayton M. Lebo. He entered the army in April 1944 and was reported killed in action in Germany on November 17, 1944.
Survivors are his mother, three daughters, Mary Lebo, Carol Lebo and Janice Lebo, and one sister, Mrs. Leroy Shepley, of Halifax, R.D. 1.
Pvt. Lebo, who at the time of his death was 29 years old, was a member of the Ebenezer Church and the Knights of Pythias Lodge of Fisherville.

John F. Lego was my father. I was 2 years old when he was killed. Every time I read this obituary I get upset because my mother is not mentioned as his widow. Her name was Lenora Irene Rudy Lebo. She later married Russel I. Keiter who adopted all of us.
