POLICE SEEK PAIR FOR TRICKING WOMAN
Two Negro women who tricked a Gratz woman out of $50 at a Harrisburg store Friday, are being sought by Harrisburg police.
Victim of the swindling trick was Mrs. Laura Nassinger, who told police that she was approached by a Negro woman, about 30 years old, who offered to share $3100 and a War Bond with her and another woman if she would give them $50 to “show good faith.”
After Mrs. Nassinger showed her “good faith” by contributing $50, one woman disappeared, she told police. Later, she and the other woman went to an office to get their money and found the doors locked. The woman left Mrs. Nassinger at the office, but promised to met her later in front of a Market Street store. Mrs. Nassinger waited at the store but the woman never appeared.
