Those who attended the Holy Communion held here, Sunday were Miss Marie Buffington, Mary Zerfing and Ralph Umholtz, all of Harrisburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Coleman and children, of Sacramento, visited the latter’s mother Mrs. Mary Umholts and family, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Shade and son Walter Shade spent the day at Shamokin, Thursday.
Mrs. Charles Saltzer and sister, of Illinois State, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Hannah Saltzer.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiest, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Umholtz, of Lykens, Mrs. Carrie Hoffman, of Loyalton, were among visitors in town, Thursday.
Miss Thelma Koppenhaver, of Millersburg, visited at the home of Jacob Kissinger and family this week.
Mae Wiest, of Newark, New Jersey, is the guest of her mother Mrs. Joseph Laudenslager.
Miss Mary Wise, of Klingerstown spent Sunday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wise and family.
Miss Elda Blyler, of Tremont, called on her mother Mrs. Lizzie Blyler and relatives over the week end.
J. W. Phillips, postmaster, and Harvey Miller and Daniel Miller attended the Bloomsburg Fair, Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evitts and family took in the fair at Bloomsburg, Thursday.
Those who attended the Firemen Convention and Parade held at Shamokin on Thursday were: Mr. and Mrs. Milton Umholtz, Mrs. Ralph Witmer and son Elwood Witmer, Dr. W. E. Lebo and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Rothermel.
Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Blyer and son Neal Blyler made a trip to New York over the week end. Mrs. Joseph Rissinger accompanied them on the trip to Philadelphia.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Umholtz and family, Misses Esther Bowman and Mabel Hartman, attended the York Fair, Wednesday.
Harry Troxell and family took in the Firemen’s Convention at Shamokin on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Matter and daughter Mary Matter, of Lykens, called on the latter’s parents Mr. and Mrs. John E. Miller and family, Saturday and Sunday.
Paul Umholtz is on the sick list with rheumatism at this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gwyther, of Wiconisco, visited at the home of Jacob Witmer and family, Saturday night.
Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Buffington attended the York Fair a few days of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Klinger and daughter Mary Klinger, of Wiconisco, Mrs. Roy Wolfgang and son Robert Wolfgang, of Valley View, visited at the home of their father Clarence Williard and family over the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Umholtz, of Elizabethville, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Umholtz and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Wingert, of Loyalton, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huntzinger and family, of Lykens, attended the Communion here on Sunday.
Jacob Witmer and son are doing some repairing and painting at the Lutheran and Reformed Church in town.
