LYKENS CASHIER DIED
WAS EMPLOYEE FOR TWENTY-TWO YEARS
Samuel S. Fear, 39 years of age, cashier of the Miners’ Deposit Bank at Lykens died at his home there on Friday morning after a week’s illness with pneumonia.
He was born in Lykens, May 8, 1887 and spent his life time in that town. He entered the employ of that bank twenty-two years ago. He was elected to the position of cashier six years ago after the resignation of F. H. Voss.
The survivors are: Mrs. Mollie Fear; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fear; his grandmother, Mrs. Sophia Matter, all of Lykens, and three sisters – Mrs. Margaret Demaret of Lanhan, Washington; Mrs. Anna Koehn of San Francisco; and Mrs. Helen Walsh of Williamstown, Pennsylvania.
