RUFUS D. PAUL
Rufus D. Paul, age 51 years, was killed in the collision of a bus and station wagon on the Hershey Road, Wednesday.
Mr. Paul was a passenger in the station wagon owned by his son-in-law, Dr. Samuel L. Caruso, of Philadelphia. Dr. Caruso, seriously injured in the accident, was admitted to the Harrisburg Hospital. Three of Dr. Caruso’s children were slightly injured, while four passengers on the bus were taken to the Polyclinic Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Mr. Paul was a member of Jacob’s Evangelical United Brethren Church, Waynesville. He had been a postal clerk for 27 years, and was a member of the National Federation of Post Office Clerks.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Paul; one son, Ronald L. Paul, at home; two daughters, Miss Peggy Paul, home, and Mrs. Samuel Caruso, Philadelphia, and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Charles Shoop, and a brother, John Paul, and his step-father, William Bechtel, all of Halifax.
Services will be held in Jacob’s E. U. B. Church at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. Floyd Tice will officiate and interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
