RETIRED BARBER DIES IN HOSPITAL
Newton C. Troutman, retired barber, died last Friday in the Harrisburg Hospital, where he had been a patient since he was injured in an automobile crash at Malta, January 26 [1949].
Mr. Troutman, a native of the Lewisburg area, located in Millersburg in 1918, and conducted a barber shop until his retirement in 1937. He is survived by a son, Newton H. Troutman, and a daughter, Mrs. Samuel G. Shoop, both of Millersburg; a brother, John Troutman, Middleburg; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Heesch, Hackensack, New Jersey; Mrs. William Dahitz, of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. E. E. A. Moore, Milton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Riegle Funeral Home, Monday afternoon, Rev. James W. Emerick officiating. Interment was made in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
