LOSES LIFE IN MINE ACCIDENT
Hilbert G. Hoffman, 39, of Tower City, was killed when caught beneath a fall of rock at an independent mine operation, north of Tower City, last Thursday morning.
The victim is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche Hoffman, one daughter, Ruth E. Hoffman, and a son, Benjamin Hoffman; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Hoffman, of Tower City; and one brother, LeRoy Hoffman, of Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services were held from the residence Sunday afternoon, Rev. M. J. Brinton, pastor of the Tower City Methodist Church, of which he was a member, officiated, and interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery, near Tower City.
