A photograph, about 1935 showing construction at the intersection of the Crossroads and Main Street, Loyalton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The construction equipment is at the right and an unidentified man is working a dirt pile (lower right). A truck, probably part of the construction activity, enters the intersection at left. Just behind the truck, a group of men are observing the work.
The building on the right is Snyder’s General Store, which at the time of the photo, was also the Loyalton Post Office.
The building on the left is the Hotel Zerbe – with a Coca Cola sign as part of the porch railing.
About a block away on the right is the steeple of the Immanuel United Brethren Church.
