The Klingerstown baseball team of the Tri-County League divided two games at Klingerstown on Sunday, June 21st, with the Phalanx Athletic Club, a colored team of Reading, Pennsylvania, winning the first game by a score of 6 to 5, and losing the second game, 13 to 0. The Klingerstown team has arranged a donkey ball game at that place on July 5th.

From the Elizabethville Echo, 15 July 1948:
The Donkey Baseball game previously scheduled for July 19, has been postponed to July 24. The game will be for the benefit of the Rotary Club Charity Fund.
