Sr. M. Ambrosia Darby was a volunteer teacher when the parochial school (Sacred Heart School) was established in 1907 at Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
She entered St. Genevieve Convent, Harrisburg, and pronounced her vows on August 18, 1910. In 1931, she was appointed the first supervisor of Mercy School of the Dioceses of Harrisburg. She died April 2, 1953.
