Fr. William Frantz, C.P.P.S., was a son of Henry Frantz and Rose [Darby] Frantz of Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was ordained into the order of the Precious Blood, March 8, 1942, at the St. Charles Seminary, Carthagena, Ohio. His first Mass was said March 15, 1942, at St. Patrick’s Church, York, Pennsylvania. Soon after ordination he was sent to Chile. In 1975 he was serving as a chaplain in a home for the elderly in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
