Rev. Joseph H. Schlappig was the first Reformed minister of St. Michael’s Church, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, from 1890 to 1896, as part of the Line Mountain Charge.

Joseph Schlappig was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania on September 29, 1837. For several years he worked as a school teacher and he also served in the Union Army during the Civil War.
Rev. Schlappig was ordained in 1866 and also served in Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania.
