This is a general view of the playing field as it appears from behind the backstop to the rear of home plate. The baseball diamond itself represents a first class field for the high school team, American legion Junior Nine, and local semi-pro clubs from early spring until early fall. During the school term boys’ and girls’ physical education classes use the field for athletic activities, while throughout the summer, the baseball field is put to advantage in the promotion of the Midget Baseball League, an activity of the community’s summer recreation program. in the distance is Coach Carmine Pepe with a group of physical education students playing football.
Pine Grove‘s veterans of all wars were honored at the formal dedication. The field was a gift of Pine Grove‘s American Legion Post 374. An appropriate program of dedication was presented in honor of all who served and died in the service of the country.
