A photo of a home and addition on the property in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, that is located on the 49 acre farm that belonged to Elias Snyder in 1875. The house was built about 1879 by John W. Hoffman who purchased the farm shortly after 1875.
This land was part of a larger tract called Wilmington which was patented to John Salada in 1801.
The location of this farm can be seen on the 1875 map cut (above). It is just west of the border of Gratz [gray area on map] and north of what is now Indian Trail Road on the eastern limit of Specktown.
