A 2021 photograph of the original Halifax National Building at 218 Market Street, Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It was here that an infamous bank robbery took place in 1901 where the cashier was killed resulting in the trial, conviction and execution of two of the perpetrators.
The bank occupied the building from 1871 until its new headquarters was built across the street in 1912. Afterwards, the building was used as the town post office, and then later, a private residence.
