A recent, but undated photograph of the Isaac Sitlinger Gristmill, the remains of which can be seen from Specktown Road, Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Isaac Sitlinger was a Civil War veteran, who before the war worked as a farm hand and later as a miner for about 40 years. In 1874, he purchased a farm in Lykens Township where he operated a productive gristmill.

Note: This photograph and information about Isaac Sitlinger was published in a Gratz history in 1997. Prior information from a 1981 published interview as well as later information from about 2011 indicate that it was his grandson, Charles A. Sitlinger who first purchased the land with the gristmill.
