On the back of the block is the following description of the White Horses:
THE WHITE HORSES
The white horses standing on the Michael Bower farm are made of cast iron and cement. They each weigh about 1000 pounds. Believed to be cast in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania. They traveled to Halifax in the 1940s. They originally stood in McClellan on the property owned by Tommy Fairchild. They made their way to the current site in 1953.
