The plans for a large Ku Klux Klan demonstration in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, appeared in the Pine Grove Press Herald, May 28, 1926:
Monster K. K. K. Demonstration
On Saturday, June 5, 1926, the K. K. K. will have a monster demonstration in Athletic Park, Pine Grove, beginning at 12 o’clock noon, when the program outlined will start and continued until midnight. During the afternoon there will be athletic events, band concerts and other interesting events.
In the evening the demonstration will really take place. The parade will form on the athletic field at 7 o’clock and accompanied by three bands and several kitchenetts will parade north on Tulpehocken St. to E. Pottsville St., east on Pottsville St., to bridge, countermarch to Tulpehocken St., and return to the park where ceremonies will take place.
Chief Strawwolf will be the principal speaker and will appear in his full Indian costume.
Singing by quartets and other bodies. A grand display of fireworks and illumination.
Sauer kraut supper and other refreshments on the grounds.
Everybody invited to come and enjoy the occasion.
