A view of the blacksmith shop at the Pennsylvania Railroad yard at Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. This is believed to be a pre-Civil War era structure, as it is noted in maps of that period. The photograph was probably taken around 1916 at the time of the Interstate Commerce Commission conducted a photographic survey of railroad structures in the United States.
