This photograph of an engine house at a turntable is purported to be from the yard of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The building does appear to be of stone construction, as was the Lykens engine house, but the tops of the bay doors are of a different style. None of the workers in this photo are identified.
If this view is of the Lykens engine house, then the location was east of the Lykens passenger station.
For comparison, see Lykens – Railroad Engine House, Pre-Civil War.
