George W. Parfet
Mr. Parfet is a native of Lykens and one if its successful businessmen. He was prominent in the organization of the Lykens Business Men’s Association and acted as chairman on the very important committee which successfully brought about decided changes in railroad freight charges. Since 1898 Mr. Parfet has been conducting a very heavy stocked and progressive mercantile business. He has served the borough in the capacity of councilman and was instrumental in various changes which were essential to bettering the community generally. Mr. Parfet enjoys the distinction of being a 32nd Degree Mason. He is a man of exceptional energy, thoroughly progressive and a valuable asset to every movement designed to benefit the borough.
