ELIZABETHVILLE HOTELMAN DIES AFTER HIT BY TRAIN

Elizabethville, 3 September — Struck by a passenger train on the Lykens Valley Railroad after he had stumbled and fallen in his hurry to get off the tracks, Charles Keaffer, proprietor of the Washington House here, died from his injuries in the Williamstown Hospital tonight.
Keaffer received a broken collar bone, shoulder and leg in the accident, which happened at 5:30 o’clock near the Bomberger farm. He died within a few minutes after being admitted to the hospital.
