HOTEL GLEN – Lykens
David W. Reitz
The Hotel Glen has recently undergone a change of management, David W. Reitz, the present proprietor, succeeding G. J. Bingaman, on February 1 [1908]. Mr. Reitz was formerly in the hotel business near Trevorton, Northumberland County, and is, therefore, well qualified by experience to conduct a good hotel. The Glen House is located directly opposite the Pennsylvania Railroad depot, is well furnished and sets a good table. In connection is a well-stocked bar, ample stabling and other conveniences. In the Spring, considerable improvements are anticipated. Bath rooms and hot water will be put in and an entire change will be made made in the bar room; a number of side rooms built for the use of private parties, and bar changed about. The house will also be painted and papered, and it will be the aim of the new proprietor to conduct the place on strictly first-class lines. Although here but a short time, Mr. Reitz had already made many friends and showed himself to be a thoroughly enterprising, wide awake young business man. He is fraternally identified with the Masonic and Odd Fellow Lodge. During the Spanish American War he entered the service of the regular army as a member of Company A, 21st Infantry. He will be found pleasant, agreeable and accommodating, and those who patronize the house with their patronage will receive every courtesy and attention.

Anyone know the name of the hotel Mr. Reitz previously owned/operated in Trevorton?
