Mrs. Emily Grimm Smith desires to announce her Spring Opening on Saturday, March 23. A full display of New York pattern Hats, also the latest novelties in Belts, Neckwear, Gloves, etc., together with a full line of Dress Trimmings and patterns for Shirt Waist in silk, ginghams, Louisine and other fashionable silks. A cordial invitation is extended to all.

Foremost among the ladies of Lykens, who are successfully engaged in commercial pursuits, is Mrs. E. G. Smith, whose store on Main Street is always of special interest to the feminine population of this borough and vicinity. This is made to be the splendid line of up-to-date, seasonable millinery goods that can always be seen here. Mrs. Smith herself is an experienced designer and trimmer and keeps herself fully posted in all the latest prevailing styles. Much originality enters in the work done by Mrs. Smith, giving her creations a superior finish easily distinguished. Since this place was established it has always transacted a flourishing business and is today classed among the most successful mercantile concerns of the borough. In addition to everything in the line of millinery and millinery accessories a complete assortment of notions and novelties is carried in stock. Mrs. Smith is an enterprising business woman and he success indicates plainly what progressive tactics, perseverance and determination will accomplish.
