No. 2500. Act of July 15, 1897. Certificate of Competency. To Whom It May Concern. This is to certify that Milton O. Umholtz of the Seventh Anthracite Coal District of Pennsylvania, having appeared before us this 31st day of August 1901, and havig been duly examined by us, is hereby declared competent to be employed as a Miner in the Anthracite Coal Mines of this Commonwealth, agreeable to an Act of Assembly of July 15, 1897, entitled to “An Act to protect the lives and limbs of miners from the dangers resulting from incompetent miners working in the anthracite coal mines of this commonwealth and to provide for the examination of persons seeking employment as miners in the anthracite region and to prevent the employment of incompetent persons as miners in anthracite coal mines and providing penalties for a violation of the same.”
