A engraved portrait of William Hoffman (1831-1896) of Jordan Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, who died in Pillow, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Hoffman and Eva Elizabeth [Weiser] Hoffman. On 20 October 1853, he married Lydia Willier (1835-1901), the daughter of Adam Willier and Sarah [Reisch] Willier.
