An undated photograph (colorized) of the Romberger Corner Store, northwest corner of Main Street and Market Street, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
According to information found in the Elizabethville Bicentennial Book, Frederick A. Weaver opened a general store known as Weaver’s Store at this location in 1867. The building was originally the home of Mr. Joseph Bender and his wife, Mrs. Sarah Bender. In November 1901, the building was sold to A. M. Romberger and in January 1902, he opened the store bearing his name. In 1941, his son Earl Romberger took over the business. In May 1967, the property was sold to Sibarco Stations, Inc., and the building was afterward demolished.
