STUART E. TREVITZ
Stuart E. Trevitz, 90, of Millersburg, passed away Friday evening, February 25, 2022 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Born in Millersburg, December 14, 1931, a son of the late J. Frank Trevitz and Mildred [Snyder] Trevitz.
Stu was a 1948 graduate of the Millersburg High School. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954 stateside during the Korean Conflict.
He began his banking career at the former Millersburg Trust Company, now Mid Penn Bank where he worked for over 41 years retiring as Vice President of loans.
He served for over 50 years as the Recording Secretary and Accountant for Upper Paxton Township.
Stu was a life member of David’s Community Bible Church, Millersburg where he also served as secretary of the Cemetery Board for over 50 years.
He was an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia based teams, particularly hockey and baseball. Stu enjoyed 30 years of retirement, and took great pride in the appearance of his residence. He also enjoyed playing slow pitch softball for area church leagues and ice hockey.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Ellen E. [Sweigard] Trevitz, three children; David Trevitz and his wife Jackie Trevitz, Houston, Texas; Steve Trevitz and his wife Arlene Trevitz, Mercersburg; and Dawn Enderle, Harrisburg, one sister; Romaine Hoffman, Halifax. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in David’s Community Bible Church Cemetery, Millersburg.
