Both sides of a 2010 Christmas tree ornament issued by the Elizabethville Area Historical Society, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The ornament recognizes Newton Hall, said to be the oldest existing home in Elizabethville. The home is located at 310 West Main Street. It was built by Elizabethville resident, John Paul Jr., noted mathematician, engineer and surveyor, who is best know for designing the Pennsylvania Railroad’s Horseshoe Curve, west of Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania. He named the home for one of his heroes, Sir Isaac Newton.
