An undated photograph of a home on what was the 50 acre property of Daniel Ritzman in 1875, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The date the original house was constructed is not known at this time, nor is the date of the rear addition.
The land was part of a larger tract conveyed to Peter Ritzman by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1797.
A shown on the 1875 map (above), the property is on the road leading northwest out of Gratz into Lykens Township.
A current view of the barn on this property is shown above. Date of construction, unknown.
Finally, there is a spring house on the property, undated as to construction. According to the description provided with the photo, the inside walls are covered with wainscoting and there is a fireplace as well as a pipe bringing running water from the well into the house.
