Ira Thomas, a former Major League catcher of the Philadelphia Athletics baseball team of the American League, visited Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on November 14 and 15, 1933, as part of a delegation which included Connie Mack who spoke at the Williamstown Rotary Club.
Above is a digital copy of a black and white photo (recently colorized) of Ira Thomas from his playing days.
Thomas’ stats include ten seasons in the American League – two with the New York Yankees, one with the Detroit Tigers, and seven with the Athletics.
The stats can be found at Baseball Reference.
