A photograph taken around 1976 of the John Edgar Moss Grocery Store, Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. A profile of him appeared in the 1976 Sesquicentennial Book:
John Edgar Moss was born in Highspire on October 22, 1907, the son of J. Edgar Moss and Eva Lynn Moss. His parents came to Williamstown in 1909.
After operating the Arco Service Station for 30 years he built the grocery store next to his home at 330 E. Market Street. In 1970 he went into business for himself. He is associated with Aunt Nellie Food Products. He sells fresh cut lunch meats and makes his own hoagies. A little bit of everything can be found in this small store. He is assisted by his wife Edith and son and daughter-in-law in the business.
He is married to the former Edith Watkins of Wiconisco. They have three children:
Mrs. Lorraine Flynn [Joseph Flynn] of 314 E. Market Street, Williamstown, and their children, Joseph Flynn, Pine Grove; Joanne Flynn, Delaware; and Keith Flynn, Gary Flynn, and Annette Flynn, at home.
John Edgar “Budd” Moss Jr., married to Barbara Boyer, and their children, Peggy Moss and John Edgar Moss III and his son John Edgar Moss IV, all of Reading.
Lee K. “Scut” Moss, married to Patricia Clemens, of 348 E. Market Street, Williamstown, and their children Tonya Moss and Darrell Moss.
