The following legal notice appeared in the Lykens Standard, December 5, 1913:
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CHARTER
Notice is hereby given that an application will be made t the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on Monday, December 8, 1913, at 10 o’clock A. M., or at the first setting of the Court thereafter, under the Act to provide for the incorporation and regulation of certain corporations, approved April 29th, 1874 and its supplements for the charter of an intended corporation to be called the “Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church,” of Lykens, Pennsylvania, the character and object of which is for the purpose of the worship of Almighty God, according to the faith, doctrine, creed, discipline and usages of the Russian Orthodox Church, and for these purposes to have, possess and enjoy all the rights, benefits and privileges conferred by the said Act and its supplements.
