This photograph was taken of the pupils and teachers in the 1953-1954 school year at the Shepley School, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The Shepley School was part of the Lykens Township Schools until the mid-1950s when the one-room school houses were closed in the township and the schools merged with the schools in Gratz Borough.
