An unused return envelope addressed to Mr. T. S. Klinger, Lykens Valley Board of Trade, Gratz, [Dauphin County], Pennsylvania.
The Lykens Valley Board of Trade was organized about 1910 to bring the farmers and business men together for developing the many resources of the “remarkable valley” and to “call the attention of the outside world to the fertility and desirability as a home.
One of the chief projects promoted by the Lykens Valley Board of Trade was the construction of the Midland Pennsylvania Railroad, which the Board claimed has brought about an “awakening” in the valley.
Officers of the Board were named as: Joseph F. Romberger, president; J. Irwin Miller, vice president; T. S. Klinger, secretary; and Valentine W. Quigel, treasurer.
