AMMON UMHOLTZ
Ammon M. Umholtz, age 45 years, of Easton, died of a heart attack while on a hunting trip in Northampton County, Saturday morning [31 October 1942]
Mr. Umholtz was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Umholtz, and was a native of Williamstown. At the time of his death he was national advertising manager of the Bethlehem Globe-Times and the Easton Morning Free Press.
Having served in the Navy during the First World War, Mr. Umholtz was a member of the Lynch Post, American legion of Easton. He was also a member of the Easton Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are his father, Henry H. Umholtz, and his wife, Mrs. Blanche [Wert] Umholtz.
Funeral services were held in Easton Tuesday evening, with the Rev. Henry Cornehlsen, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton, officiating. Interment was made in the Wiconisco Cemetery, on Wednesday.
