Halifax Man Killed in Auto Accident
John Henry Kapp Jr. Is Thrown to Highway When Vehicle Skids
John Henry Kapp Jr., 23, of Halifax , R. D., was instantly killed early Tuesday morning [29 November 1950] when the car in which he was riding skidded on highway Route 225, three miles east of Halifax, near Fetterhoff’s Church, rolled over and landed on its wheels. Kapp was thrown from the car.
Others injured in the accident were Roy A. Enders, shoulder injuries, and Russell K. Chubb, the driver, body injuries.
Kapp is survived by his mother, Mary [Battorf]; a sister, Mrs. Robert Olewine, Harrisburg, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Battorf, Halifax, R. D. 1.
Services will be held in the Fisherville Lutheran Church, Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Enders Cemetery, Halifax, R. D.
