Bertha M. [Zerbe] Romberger (1887-1944)

MRS. BERTHA ROMBERGER

Mrs. Bertha M. Romberger, age 56 years, of Loyalton, died in a Harrisburg Hospital Saturday.  Her husband, Elmer W. Romberger preceded her in death 1 November 1942.

Mrs. Romberger was a daughter of the late Jonathan Zerbe and Julia [Messner] Zerbe and was a native of Tower City.  After graduating from the Millersville State Normal School, she taught in schools in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, and Washington Township for a number of years.

She was a member of the Evangelical Church, Loyalton, and had been a teacher in the Sunday School about twenty years.

Survivors are a sister, Miss Lottie Zerbe, of Loyalton; a brother, Walter Zerbe, of Lykens; one niece, and a nephew.

Funeral services were held from the home of her sister, in Loyalton, a 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon,  Rev. Dr. E. Martin Grove, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, officiated.  He was assisted by Rev. C. N. Kindt, pastor of the Loyalton Evangelical Church.  Interment was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.
