The early records of the Trinity United Methodist Church congregation and its predecessor congregations of Trinity United Brethren in Christ and Trinity Evangelical United Brethren at Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, are available on microfilm and digitally. These records cover the period, 1894-1952, prior to the merger into the United Methodist Church. They include lists of members, officers of the congregation, baptisms, marriages, and deaths.
The original records were microfilmed at Princeton, New Jersey, for the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust Street, Philadelphia. These records are therefore copies of the originals and presented in the original handwriting of the registrar. Each microfilm frame contains two pages of records. There are 95 pages of records and no index.
Several years ago, the microfilmed pages were digitized and uploaded to Ancestry.com, where they are fully searchable and can be attached to Ancestry.com family trees as documents.
For researchers who do not have access to Ancestry.com, a high quality digital copy of this register made from the microfilm copy is available at the Elizabethville Area Historical Society . For further information, contact Marilyn Henninger.
