Ceylon Abraham Miller was born in Washington Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on 10 December 1916, the son of Loy Aaron “Lloyd” Miller (1894-1963) and Lottie Angeline [Lettich] Miller (1895-1938). At some point in the 1920s, the family moved to Montour County, Pennsylvania.
Ceylon A. Miller was killed in action in Italy, 17 April 1944.

MOORESBURG SOLDIER DIES IN ACTION
Mr. and Mrs. Loy Miller, of Mooresburg, received word yesterday of the death of their son, Sgt. Ceylon Miller, who was killed in action in Italy.
Sgt. Miller has been in the armed service for almost three years and was stationed overseas for two years.
He was a member of a ground crew in the air force. He was 26 years of age.

Relatives in Mooresburg have been advised that Ceylon Miller, who was reported killed in action, was killed when a plane crashed into his tent.
